Sighting the Moon - A simple way to connect with the cycles of nature is to sight the Moon--actually take time to find the Moon. The Crescent Moon is much easier to spot than the New Moon. Finally the Moon is distant enough (from our point of view on earth) to see in the evening. At the beginning of this phase the Moon is a crescent shape lit on the right side. I find this Moon most easily at sunset. On the first day of the phase it is about 45 degrees from the horizon, by the end of this phase, we will see the Moon overhead at sinset. Whenever you do see the Moon,  make sure to smile and give the Moon a wink.

The Moon moves quickly. Every 28 days She travels through all the signs and shines a light on every part of life and every part of each person’s birth chart. Astrology is all about relationships represented by aspects and angles between planetary bodies. As the Moon travels, She activates the energy field of each cosmic connection. She also keeps changing her relationship to the Sun. This dance between the two luminaries creates the Phases of the Moon.

It is believed that it takes an aspect or angle to the Moon to activate various planetary energies.
